    ACTIVE RECOVERY - Ideas pls.

If my chest is sore I swim. If my back is sore I row. If my legs are sore, I run (elliptical - saves my knees).

I know there's a more scientific rational for recovery, but I don't know shit about it.

Anyone got any thoughts? Stuff I shold maybe incorporate into my plans for the next 3mo (or so).

There's a great article on it over at T-Nation, by Christian Thibaudeau. Plus, if you use the search function, there's some great stuff in this forum (in the form of previous posts).
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Do you mean you are looking for cardio that won't make you sore? Have you tried any kind of circuit training? I like doing that once in awhile because you are using your whole body.

I'm looking for faster recovery (and also greater knowledge), but I do have plans for circuit training in my next 12 week's workouts too. I saw an article where it put treadmill running side-by-side with circuit training on all kids of factors (testosterone, hypertrophy, catabolism etc). It was clear that circuit-trainng would be much better for someone planning to put a couple inches on their legs, for example. I'll probably still run a little bit, but not like I have been. Who needs it!? Plus, it's boring anyway

I used to get sore like the devil. Sometimes, soreness would last for almost a week. Then, I started Hypertrophic Specific Training. Except for the very first training on HST, I have never been sore again. Gains are huge with this program even though I'm on a cutting diet and do on average 60 minutes cardio per day. However, the last 2 weeks of the HST cycle are really cruel on your body. Perhaps you want to try it?
