Well you need to work muscles evenly and there are a millon places to start, but 1st has to be determined is the ranges that you can do, your max weight for some excercises so you can find a decent yet benificial weight for you to start at and gain strength. Some of the guys here with a little info from you can set you up something to start at. You also want to keep in mind to work muscle groups evenly to prevent injuries like tears and rips and more. So don't do to much bi-cep and no tri-cep, also your tri-cep makes up 60% of the muscle in your arms the bi-cep being 30%, so if you want bigger arms, work on them tri's to. Goodluck, have someone here set you up a routine, I'm not real well at that myself.

Like Keenan said, you really shouldn't be focusing on just shoulders and biceps, instead focus on your body as a whole. Read the stickies on here and design a routine, then post it to be critiqued. Try to stick with a simple push pull or full body routine. Don't neglect your legs and back, just because you want the appearance of bigger arms and shoulders. I used to have this mentality, and it got me no where quick.

The quickest way to big arms is to Squat, anyways.

Like the others said, you need to be training everything.

Read the stickied topics in the training forum for invaluble advice that i assure you you'll use time and time again. Being a beginner, keep the weights you are using pretty light, at this stage the only thing you should be doing is learning the form of all the major lifts, and building up a base level of fitness.

Theres a few tips on putting together a beginner's routine in the stickies, and if you can find the "FAQ" thread in training thats a great source of info aswell.
