Exclamation Something's wrong with me

During certain upper body workouts it seems during the peak of the rep, I'll go partially deaf in my left ear, and it will quickly subside as I lessen the tension...what's goin' on here? loL...blood pressure in my head or somethin', I dunno. I'm thinkin' some sort of pressure on some inner ear organ're somethin'.

I would bet that your low on blood sugar, i.e. poor diet and extreme exertion during excersize. I have had bouts of low blood sugar and have fainted a couple times in my life from it. However, this doesn't happen during squats? That would certainly be the killer.

Yep, I have a poor diet, that's for sure. Hm, haven't fainted in my life yet =-D. Haven't had any probs during squats, it seems only upper body, for instance, couple hours ago..., I was doing back rows, 'n my hearing would just diminish during each rep, then go back when the tension was lessend, I certainly need to work on my diet though -- loL, oh, I didn't even realize you were my bro

Dude, you need to fix your sleep habits as well. I've had some freaky experiences from lack of sleep, and its way not healthy. If the body wants to shut itself down, it will do so, eventually it will stop nagging you and just do it. You need to fix that...

Are you holding your breath. If you are the straining could be putting pressure in your ear through the eustachian tube.

Just what I was about to ask..........it may just be that it`s going away as you breath out...not with the reduced tension.

Good one, don't make your head explode when your working out

I seem to remember blowing your nose too hard can do some damage too, it blows mucous to the eardrums I think it was.

Well, my breathe doesn't flow steadly in and out constantly moving, I imagine I do hold it a bit at certain points, I'll try to be more self-concious of it. thx Wonder why just the left ear though, seems that's by better hearing ear too, wouldn't want that to go out on me, or somethin' worse. Maybe even it's a combination of things.
