I have heard that if you want to make the COC grippers (or others) harder you can tighten a hose clamp around the spring. Not sure how, or if it really works but you may want to try before you buy the next ones.

Don't even know where to start - should I pick up a #1, or one of those trainer models first?
I have no idea where the hell my grip strength is at, but I know it's always the first thing to go when I lift on pull day. |

i bought a trainer to start out. i got it and it was easy, so i bought a #1. the trainer is a good one, because its easy, and it allows you to warmup properly. once i could do the #1 about 10x's then i got the #2. i couldnt close the #2 until about a week ago, but i kept trying.

I like how this is a serious fitness and training forum, and the main goal of at least 2 or 3 members is to crush a raw potato with one hand :P.
