    is this HIIT?

did hiit this morning. my sprint:slow jog interval is 20:40secs.after doing this for 10mins i felt like i couldnt do it anymore and my legs were hurting.so i walked it out for like a minute but then i felt like i could do more.so i started sprinting again and after like 15 seconds my legs gave up on me that im actually running now instead of sprinting.so i stopped and walked it out again and after a minute i felt like i can go for another interval.so i started sprinting again and the same thing happened, my legs gave up(i can feel my calves hurting when trying to run)that im not actually sprinting anymore.more like jogging/running.

now what i want to know is, is this HIIT? did i do it right?

You'll learn to love that kind of pain. Self inflicted torture is the best!

I'm up to 18 minutes, on a recumbant bike. I get off, and my legs feel like theyre going to burst.
