    Cardio and body building?

    Hey,

I'm more on a "cutting" mode right now but I just havent been able to find stuff on here if cardio actually affects muscle building.....

Ie . if I stick to my regular workout schedule for the weight lifting and I add more cardio in will I hinder the gains I make on weight lifting? I know I need protein etc.. for the weight lifting but Im just wondering if too much cardio is a bad thing for weight lifting ?

"obv if I find I am getting too small for my liking I will stop and bulk but I want to atleast cut/ripp hard before then"

Low intensity cardio, on empty. So first thing in morning or after you train (not on leg day obviously). Walking on a treadmill, fast pace is one of my favs for about 35-50 min is best.

Takes longer, but you will not lose muscle. Works best with a low carb diet.

Its great that youre motivated, but youre not motivated enough to break the laws of mathematics and logic im afraid.

Past the first few weeks you ever trained its impossible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. To gain muscle you must stimulate hypertrophy while in a caloric surplus, to lose fat you must be in a caloric deficit in order to lose it.

Its impossible to be in both caloric states at the same time.

Cardio exercise in conjunction has many other benefits to your health and overall training, but this isnt one of them.

I still think it's possible to gain strength while losing fat, since that's what I've been doing. I've never had these numbers before and I weigh 50 pounds less, so I must be adding strength, but I'm still losing weight.
