Working out on a HOT winter night

I workout at home in the backyard and tonight was ****ing HOT! I swear it's over 90 degrees outside and not even a little breeze. I started with 4 sets of squats with no problems but after that it was all downhill. I didn't have the strength and stamina that I normally have. I struggled with the rest of the routine and at one point I even reduced the weights to complete one exercise and cut one set of the last exercise. I drank more water than usual during the workout.

Should I reduce the work load on hot days (nights)? Reduce sets, reps, exercises, weights and/or increase rest intervals.

Doing lower volume higher intensity work is probably more durable in that case.

Circuit training, are you shitting me? It's the complete opposite for me. Heavy weights, no problem. I only need to focus for 30s every 3min. Circuit training, bigass problem. I need to remain active continuously. No can do.

Heavy weights make sense. Less reps, more rest between sets. Maybe next time I should stay way from squats or maybe do them at the end of the routine. They drain too much energy in the heat. Bring more water and a fan.

I kid you not, i can do a shitload of running/biking in the heat, as well as CT with BW exercises and plyos and stuff, but give me anything in the way of resistance training and i fall to pieces, even light stuff.

Here its pretty friggen hot ALL THE TIME. I suppose thats why body can get used to it and adapt. I do all my training at home also, outside for things using my power rack, and inside for smaller things like DB. If I want to go for a run or cycle, it must be done after 6:00PM, otherwise I get drained too quick.

I can imagine what its like for others to try and adapt to this sort of temps just for small periods. The only thing that I could say is to keep your fluids up. I am drinking 6-7 Litres of water a day minimum.

If the heat is only due to a freakish day then probably best to avoid training, heat stress is serious. If the heat maintains, and you really wanna train then is there a possibility of doing some DB work in the house with air-conditioner on, or hitting the gym with AC on?
