The more frequently you hit a muscle, the less sore you get. That's my experience from three full-body workouts per week. I used to get horribly sore with common splits. Since I started with full-body workouts, there is no soreness at all although I do different exercises each workout. I don't think that a specific rep range would change that, but you won't really know until you try.
