I heard putting effort into your post helps your fingers become stronger which leads to better gripping power.

again, why would you do that all day?

our finger flexors get lots of work all day (like our calves) and those muscles typically are absued to shit by us (like our calves).

I think you should buy a book and read that when you aren't doing anything.

i also need to improve my grip. i find when i am doing deadlifts and pull/chin ups, my grip starts given out. i think that your grip depends on your forarm strenght (or are they the same thing). so for this reason are you meant to train the forarms the same way you would train any other muscle and try to stay in the 8-12 reps range. right now i have a gripper (which i think builds the forarms) which i can do about 30-50 reps with, but if you are meant to train your forarms and grip like any other muscle then do i need to get a gripper that i can only do 8-12 reps with. some how i cant imagen someone only doing 8-12 reps with and gripper, i would imagen someone sitting there maybe waching TV doing maybe 50 reps.

So my question is to strenghen my grip do i need a gripper were i can do 30-50 reps or one were i can only do 8-12. thanks in advance.

this is what i am thinking of doing, tell me what you think.

Getting a gripper were i can do 8-12 reps and doing maybe 3-5 sets after my pull workouts.

What do you think, will this increase my grip and forarm strenght.

allso i am just curious about something can any of you crush a full can of coke, or do you know anyone who can. i would love to be able to do that some day, just to show off to people guess. thanks in advance.

You don't need grippers to get a strong grip, they are just one tool in the arsenal

Im sure you could save up in the time it takes you to progress from one to the next.

Besides, like func said - theyre not the only thing you can use to train your grip.

thats so cool. i seen grippers on the internet which take different amounts of preasure to close, i.e. 100lbs, 150lbs, 200lbs ect...

i was just wondering if mudge has a gripper how much preasure does it take to close, he must be able to do alot if he can crush a full coke can.

I think Mudge put up a video of that coke can thing before.

Apparently, if you can close the IronMind #3 gripper, you can crush a raw potato. I would assume its around that area where you can crush a can. The IronMind #3 is 295lbs (i think).
