Gonna do it right this time.

I am planning my off season training for football this year, as I said in a previous post we are moving up from 6-man to 11-man. I had planned to lead a team workout but no one is interested in getting better for football. I plan on doing Bill Starr's 5x5 program which takes 9 weeks and I have ~26weeks before we start football. I plan on starting this next monday. The question I have is would it be a good idea to repeat this workout after I get done with the first 10 weeks(including an off week) of it but for the next 9 weeks try to incorporate some agility, speed, power, and position drills to get ready for 2-a-days(aka hell).

No right answer. I'd focus on building power and strength in the off-season and leave most of the plyometrics, conditioning, agility, etc. for the season.

google "periodization of strength" to know what you should do..its basically what witchblade said...simply off-season split into 3 parts with biggest part first 1)bulk 2)power 3) speed/endurance... in season = maintain
