I have been eating less carbs and eating more lean meat protien like chicken lately. AND I have cutt out all sweets. Here is my workout.
I am running about 1 mile a day right now.
In a week or so I plan to bump it up to 2 miles a day.
A few weeks after that I will bump it up to 3 miles a day.
Probably keep it at 3 miles a day for a while
6 days a week.
Its only been 2 weeks with my new diet and a few days with my running and I can already tell there is fatloss. *pulls up sagging pants*
oh....and If I decided to starting builing again later on, could I keep up the running but limit it to, say, 3 times a week?
What do you guys think? I dont want to lose so fast that I lose alot of BF. What is the best thing to do to not lose LBM with the BF?
you cant really not lose size and strengh with the BF... especially if when you start building you continue to run three miles three days a week... when you start building again i say you cut that down big time or just get rid of it completly.... you might find that youre one of those people who doesnt gain much fat even while bulking... i dont.. i never run or do cardio(im pretty lazy ) but i can see my abs pretty good so maybe if youre lucky you can do it too once you finish cutting

yeah highschool... yep got me into weight training... originally i played soccer(real little like 4-10 or sumthin) and then my dad made me play football i didnt like it at first because i was skinny and weak and the pads were heavy but i liked taking out agression on people without getting kicked out of the game
yah....i played first in junior high......I weight like 165 so i was a bretty big guy. Then between 8th and 9th grade I got really sick and lost down to 147lbs. I still kicked as though on JV but I was sort of a later bloomer so all of the time spent in the weightroom didnt help all that much and I think I got up to 155 by junior year but for a linemen on varsity I was too small and didnt get to play much so I didnt play senior year.
Wish I could go back now cuz I finally hit my prime (im a sophmore in college now) and now without weightlifting my muscles are a really good size and i weight about 168 lbs. or so. Been out of the gym a while but I hope to get back and see what I am capable of now.
Just wanna cut the fat for now because my schedule doesnt really permit a any weight. When I get back up to Purdue this fall I will probably start weightlifting hard core. =)
155 your junior year!! thats real little especially for a lineman... i weigh 175 comin out of my freshman year.. we have a center that is real small like that(for a lineman) hes pretty good tho.. coach calls him the beer bottle between the kegs cuz we got some super fat slow guards... thats why we suck because our offense is pretty slow but we had a good record last year cuz we played sucky teams... what college do you go to ? do you play there? you could be a walk on and then get drafted like Dave Thornton (UNC) he playes safety or sumthin
hehe I got to Purdue......Dont know if im that good....especially since i have not played football for 2 years. But never thought about that....maybe If a hit the gym I could.
I was a guard and the thing is they put me in on plays where I had to pull like traps and stuff like that. But junior year they didnt really play me at all...not even near the end when we were winning thats why i didnt play senior year. My coach kept saying that I would "blossom". Which I see now that I did but its a little late. I still could stand up to 200lb ppl pretty good....couldnt really move them back but I could keep them where there where.
People thought I was nuts because sophmore year (highschool), in our excercises I would go up against guys on our team in tackle drills that were like 250 and one that was 280. At 147 I got my ass roxxed but I had a ton of respect.
The thing is though. Junior year...I played the enitre JV games and we won all our games except 2. Both games we were out classed. We were a AA school but they scheduled a game against a AAA and AAAA JV team. They wear as good as our varsity.
Like I said.....wish I was back in highschool just so I could be one of the stronger ppl on the team. But its for the best that I cant because my highschool sucked hehe
yeah .. i went up against bigger stronger people too.... but not by my choice... i dont like doin that that shit hurts i hate tackle drills because no matter how many times the coach says "this is not a full speed drill" people show off and hit hard as hell to get the coaches attention. especially during angle tackling... i dont remember how many people got hurt last year from that... last year i played jv but this year im playin varsity either on the bench or in different position than i normally play.. i play middle linebacker.. i want to play safety but im not really fast enough.. but im kindof small for varsity so i might get some play time at outside linebacker or maybe a decoy on offense or somethin... im 170-175ish 5'8-9 ish kletes im 5'10 plus the helmet maybe 6 feet
I sort of liked the pain. Im not a masacist or anything....i think the pain didnt bother me cuz you got respect. Hell, most of the time I was going 100% to stay even with the bigger guys so I didnt look like a weakling.
After freshman year we had to move up with the big boys. The crappy thing was though is that you had to go to all of the Varsity games as well as the JV games......it sucked cuz at the varsity....its mostly standing around unless your ahead.
our jv is freshman and sophores but i chose to moveup to insure that ill start my junior year and maybe get some PT this year.. you have to move up once ur a junior... some schools have "freshman" teams with only freshmen but ours doesnt... plus its more challenging and i can test what weight training really did for me throughout summer...
Yah...whe had a freshman team, JV, and Varisty. Durring our junior year though they merged the freshman with our JV. We had so little cuz everyone had moved to Varsity. If you got hurt you really couldnt get out of the game cuz there was like 1 sub. The game against the 4A team....one of my teamates got his ass knocked and he flipped and his cleats went into my shin. Still had to play though and to this day, 2 years later, there is a numb place on my shin!!!
yah.....I played a center in junior high and I broke my midle finger and my pinky. The midle fingers where not bad the but the pinky was broken back farther in the hand so i had to sit out a bit. Think it got a big chip and a crack
