Clapping Push-ups

Would you add these as an exercise to your chest or shoulder workout? Kind of a stupid question. I just want to know what you guys think about these. I did 3 sets of 10 tonight. Really nailed my shoulders. I adjusted my hand placement a little bit and that felt better. I think I'm going to do them every other week or maybe with HIT.

They are good, clap isn't really necessary, but the explosive component is excellent.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

I do these often. To make them even harder, raise feet on a platform. Excellent movement to finish workouts.

I think either session is good, the movement is relevant to both.

The main thing is that you're doing them, i agree with Dale and Goob - theyre a great exercise.

Never do them. Would add them on horizontal push day, because I've never done a shoulder or chest day.

They are excellent for an overall improvement in strength and endurance. As previously stated you don't need to clap your hands but that will help you judge your explosion distance from the floor.

if you would like to make them more challenging when you are touching your nose to the floor explode your whole body back up use your arms to lift your whole body off the floor clapping is more for braggin rights and speed training for basic muscle developement not a neccessity.
