quick question on safety

I started working out at the gym the other day. I did somewhat of an intro day on wednesday, and did a mild full body workout on friday. I woke up saturday, and couldnt put my arms straight without forcing them with pain. Today (sunday) they feel a bit better, but again, cannot put them straight, with out pain and force(obviously a little less from yesterday). I was planning on going to the gym tommorow. Should I wait until the pain goes away or is it safe to go?

Thanks everyone

If the soreness is going to negatively effect your workout, you probably shouldn't do it.

tendons and ligaments will strain before muscle tissue and also take longer to heal. allow time for them to adapt, especially the first few weeks in the gym.

It sounds like you may have over done it for the first day.

The first lesson of many that only you can discover for yourself.

keep at it.
