    Question about Lifting Progress please

I know its not good to try to compare yourself to others but i am really into weightlifting, i mean i would be happy to have my all my lifts in the 300's someday and that would make me happy
However its like when i see youtube videos of people squatting 500 for 10 reps and stuff like that, im like damn, i wonder how long it took him to get to a weight like that with repetitions that high! 500 alone is prolly more difficult for most people to get to
I guess what my question is, is:
I've never really lifted before i started working out about 13 months ago, and i would say lifting serious with a semi-decent routine for about 10 of those months. Currently my big 3 lifts are
Deadlift:255x5, 1RM says 287 but i dont know havent tried that, i pulled 270 before when i was trying to max out ( a while ago though before i had 255x5)
Squat: I never had a squat stand so i barely finally got one id say about a good 3-4 months ago: I just got my squat to 185x5 ( however i can squat 135x15 fairly easily)
Bench: My weakest area, I finally got myself to being able to bench 135x14-15 fairly easily, so im pretty sure if it was the first set i could get 145x10

So my question is is it ok for me to feel good about these weights, im not trying to compete or anything but sometimes i feel when you compare yourself on such a large scale of course your going to find people with much larger lifts, so i guess what im saying is, it does take alot of time and dedication to get your lifts to 300+ right? or am i just WEAK =(

Oh and i make it a point to not just try to lift heavy like a retard, i focus on having good form so i dont hurt myself, ive learned to know my body pretty well and i do a good job of knowing my limits at that time

You know the answer to these questions.

500lbs+ lifts don't come over night. I've been lifting for 3 years and for whatever reason, i've only Deadlifted 300lbs and my other lifts are lower than that. Those are 1RMs.

But who cares? I've been steadily improving in some area or another that whole time. As long as you're moving forward thats commendable.

Remember - the best weight lifter isnt the one with the biggest numbers, its the one who has made the most progress.
