Welcome to IM
Theres a few things in your post that dont sit right with me, lol.
No matter what your goals are, diet control is important - but not in the popular vein of "going on a diet", but actually managing and logging your diet. At least to some extent.
What is your training program like? Its possible that your fatigue is because youre overreaching slightly, especially if you're new to the whole fitness game. Are you taking enough days off from training in the week?
As for your joint pain - what warming up/down do you do? Thats one of the biggest factors in getting your joints warmed up and lubricated before a session, if you're not warming up those weight sessions might be irritating them.
Its also good to supplement fish oils and glucosamine sulphate. They did wonders for my joints.
