I've recently included regular squats into my routine, starting low weight to get the form right. But I've also talked to some of my gym buddies about Bulgarians. I've seen them done, and I think they complement regular squats by stressing the hams and glutes rather than the quads.
I think I'm goin to include these (if I can figure out how to get the f**ing balance skills down, I'm like a ship in a storm!).
Anyone have any opinon on Bulgarians or other types of squats to complement regulars?
OK, I hear the message. You think that lunges lead the way to Bulg's? I see the logic .. but I never considered lunges. Hmm you've given me something to think about (if the brain has anything to do with it!)
For reg squats I like 2 sets of increasing weight warm ups and three big sets for 5-8 reps. Later in the workout I do three sets of front squats. I'm not Bulgarian but I think this guy must be >>>
