being 16, ya dont wanna go too crazy. doing the basics like, bnch press, curls, blah...blah....for a couple of sets each...not too heavy is what id reccomend. yer tendons are still developing and so is yer muscle....over straining them will interupt and chance injury that will affect you later on........ya got a few more years till ya can really get into it.

    First off, Welcome to IM!

You gotta eat big to get big, chicken and tuna need to be your new friends. And make sure you get proper rest!!!

Keep your weight at where your able to do at least 8 good clean reps. Learn to do stuff like Squats and Deads with proper form.
There are two of the best movements to get your young body growing.
Work out 3-4 times a week, working each muscle ONCE per week.

If you need help with a routine, post here or do a search under the diary section to check out what others are doing.

Also the most important thing, check out the nutrition board!!
    Cool

Perfect age to start (smartly) Do all the multi-joint and whole body movements you can. DL's, Squats, Clean and Press for sure. Don't worry too much about about the small muscle groups, do exercises for them sure but concentrate on the whole body movements. It's pay off for sure.

If you are looking to get tips for training at a young age, check out NickB's threads, he is going for the same stuff. I do not think that chicken and tuna are what get you big, but protein is one of the ingrediants.
