How wide should my grip be?

for competition and for shirt training, I use index on the ring
for close grip I'll go anywhere from index on the smooth to pinkie on the ring grip

I put my pinky on the ring i used to put the finger beside my thumb? on the ring but it seemed to wide, i think i might try my middle finger on the ring. Will a wider grip stimulate mo pec than a narrow and im not refering to close grip for tricep were your 6-8in apart.
that'd be your index finger

for just a general answer, yes, but not necessairly. Your elbow position will change the direct effect on the pecs.
But from pinkie on the ring to middle finger on the ring, there probably won't be much difference on your pecs.
