I came across this thread while googling for ways to isolate my peronius brevis so I could try to stretch it / strengthen to hopefully reduce pain I received while running.
I ran track / x-country in highschool but have been quite out of shape. I did ellipticals to avoid impact during cardio exercise but I'm enlisting in the ARMY and will soon be doing a lot of road marches / runs / etc... I only recently started running on hard surfaces again.
I was hoping that someone could provide some insight to what I could do to prevent this muscle / tendon from becoming SOoooo tight while I run. The pain gets to be too much at this point while I'm running just from that tendon but the rest of my body (heart, calf muscles) feel perfectly fine like they could keep going for miles...
Any advice on what I can do to stop the pain coming from that tendon?
