Proper application of wrist straps...
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com I get asked, and see it asked quite often how one properly uses wrist straps. A fellow asked again yesterday on another site and I promised to make a video to demonstrate. This is what I came up with. I figured some of you here might find it useful:

Chris - that's very helpful!
You left out the second part though - "using your teeth to set up the other strap!" ![]() (Yeah, right, like I'm the only one who does this!) Seriously, thanks for this. It's a question that gets asked a lot, particularly by newbies who train alone. |

I mod a board of mostly women, and most women don't have buddies to train with like men often have. We rely heavily on the internet for training tips like this.

Pfft I wish I had a training buddy. Everytime I get one, they pussy out about a week after they start doing a beginner's workout. Always whining that they're so sore so they just quit.

I actually HAVE one now, but mostly I've trained alone.
Danzik, how did you start lifting? Did you read about it on the internet and think it was a cool idea, or did you see other men lifting and figure it could do the same thing for you? |

Long story but here's a brief version.
Basically I got extremely sick about 3 years ago when I weighed like 250lbs, and as a result I have a very weird condition. If I don't exercise consistently, I will literally start to be nauseous 24/7 and eventually just start vomiting. The most I can take off of lifting is 1 week without having bad effects. At two weeks I'll start to get nauseous, and at 3 weeks I'm in trouble. No doctor I have ever gone to can tell me what it is, but it might be hereditary since my Dad has the same exact condition. He remedies it with racquetball instead of lifting though. |

wow, thats kind of a bummer, I mean not that I like taking time off any more than the next person, but thats just a bummer that you get sick like that. That wouldn't be too fun

Wouldn't be able to tell you. All I know is cause and effect. If I work out, I don't vomit. Win win.

No I've come close, but I've never vomited even while doing high rep squats with my 10RM.

Gotta be psychological. I have a nervous stomach and I can be nauseous for days on end. However, the moment I am busy or when I go through something intense (working out) enough to not care about things (endorphin rush) it goes away instantly.

Explain how my Dad has the same exact condition then? Or how it only occurred after becoming extremely sick?
It's definitely a physical thing dude. When this first started happening I was on winter break - not exactly a stressful time. |

awesome chris!
it's a solid post... because out of all the people that ask me to borrow my wrist straps... 95% of them also ask me how to use them properly. No joke.. |
