Heavy Bag?

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
Im loving the Muay Thai training at the moment, but theres not really anywhere to do it when im at home for half the year, so i was thinking of getting a heavy bag.

I've found some pretty good deals here and there so the bag itself isnt a problem, but actually installing it in my house is the bit im having trouble working out.

We dont have a garage or a basement, so i was wondering if anybody had any advice for either setting something up for outside, or some alternative equipment choices to train outside of my dojo in Cardiff.

Im probably gonna get some Thai Pads and gloves so i can train/spar with a friend, but some sort of equipment set up to train on my own would be great aswell as that for when they wanna get on with their own lives .

Im open to anything, cos at this point im tired of working hard only to have to layoff for months at a time for lack of equipment/opportunity, lol.

I have a heavy bag in the house, I bought the stand and everything. I use 16 oz gloves. but for muay tai, your going to want a muay tai bag which is longer and a bit slender than a heavy bag so you can work on low kicks. the stand i have has a place at the bottom where you can work in the lower portion of the bag. I LOVE THE HEAVY BAG WORKOUTS!!!!! GL

Yeah, heavy bag is really fun. Tough as hell, lol. Thats why i wanna keep it in my program all the time.

How much did that stand set you back? I didnt even know they existed, but looking around the net briefly and they look like there a few hundred $$$?

Thats quite reasonable actually.

What brand was it? Ill hunt them down.

The one thing that looks a bit iffy about these things is that it looks like if i was kicking, id kick the bars before actually getting to the bag, lol.

Maybe its just the pictures.

Have you had any problems like that?

the only thing i had a problem with was i dont have the weights on the bottom (yet) so i almost put the hole stand through the wall. so i HIGHLY recommend the weights. lol

yes you can kick the bars if you are not paying attention. i like wave master. if you fill them with sand as opposed to water you can get a hell of alot of weight in them. they work wonders, and come in all diffrent sizes.

Wavemaster Punching Bag - Sports & Outdoors - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review that should provide what you are looking for. i like a medium one for low space. if you have more room a xxl is the way to go. you can work on alot on a xxl.

We have those at my Krav Maga gym. They're okay, but I prefer to hit a heavy bad instead.

like i said if you use water they are ok. put sand in them they freaking rock. only problem with sand is it makes them a total pain in the ass to move. most places just use the water.

Yeah, currently training Muay Thai in my gym down here, but half the year i live somewhere else and cant travel back and forth so need a bag to practice some stuff on.

And dont worry, my friends do MA aswell so we'll only do some light sparring/pad work like we do in classes anyways.

I was thinking of hanging something off a tree, but i know ill get shit from the council, lol.
