Rest Interval and Muscle Gain
My rest intervals are usually 2-3 min. i have definitely become stronger using this rest interval but the weight gain has been a challenge, but i have always thought that my diet was the problem and not the R.I.. But i keep reading on this site and in mags. that rest intervals of 1min or less are optimal for gaining mass. my question is, if i'm 100% positive my diet is correct and maintain a caloric excess state will i still gain weight with the 2-3 min rest interval or do i definitely have to change to the shorter RI? i prefer the 2-3 RI because it seems to really work for my strength goals and when i was working with shorter RI I wasn't getting stronger or bigger.

If you are not gaining weight, you aren't eating enough.
Rest intervals contain no mass. Remember that. How many calories do you currently consume? When was the last time you gained weight? |
