5 days per week vs 3 days per week

So I've basically been doing a 5 day split for the past couple of months and have noticed big strength increases on my bench and deadlift etc and some compliments on my growth from other people, however I don't seem to be gaining weight though I am eating 3k calories a day...

Would it perhaps help me to reduce to a 3 day split thus using up fewer calories while weight training, I am currently doing little to no cardio as it is off season and I am training to bulk.

    Thankyou for your help!

If the 5 day split is working for you (as in you are getting good strength gains), I would stick with it. If you aren't gaining weight (but not losing too)and you would like to, I would increase my calories by about 350 calories a day... wait a couple weeks and see how it goes.

When you say you aren't gaining weight, over how long of a period of time are we talking?

So far about 2 months and I've remained 86 kgs. Guess I just need to up the calories again! I used to do a 3 day split but found my Bench got stuck at one weight and then when I did a seperate day for Chest it begain to increase quite quickly so 5 a week is better if it works!

Thanks for the advice I will try upping my calories and give it a few more months!

Quick and dirty calorie-increase: add about a tablespoon of olive oil to each of your shakes. If you're getting in 3 shakes a day, that's an easy 350-400 calories right there.
