I can lift and bench alot more than my bodyweight (Not quite double though) and can squat double my weight, and would consider myself quite strong. I notice it in sports alot actually, and at work... I feel a much bigger surge of energy and strength when im pitching in baseball or when im shooting a basketball, or when Im lifting stuff at work.

I dont ever really feel light , but thats mainly because im 200 lbs I notice in sprinting though I am getting much faster and It feels alot easier to run, having a strong core and lower body

yes

Coordination must be applied for the advatage to be practical, IMHO. You have to be gifted in both if you want to be Batman.

feeling light is a relative term. Some people are more "quick and nimble" than others. I've seen stocky guys who were clumsy and big flabby dudes who could move akin to ballerinas. ...Former football days

God wants to know: "How much can you bench??"

Interesting question. I'm not "very" strong, relative to powerlifters I know - but I'm probably "very" strong when compared with other sub-140 lb 45-year-old women: on a good day I can front-squat 165 for a triple, RDL 225 for a five rep set, powerclean a plate a side for a double, and crank out two or three full-hang chinups with a 25 hanging off me.

I only started lifting at 38, and I can tell you I really noticed the increase in real-world functional strength that first year. I think women notice this more than men because most women are SO weak when compared with most men. The first thing I noticed was that I could easily carry the groceries to and from the car. Next up was being able to flip up the water bottle for the cooler - thing weighs basically a plate. No biggie, right? Except I couldn't do it before and now I can.

I can't say I feel lighter when I walk around because of this. I CAN say I feel lighter when I walk around because of the 30-odd pounds I ditched six or seven years ago though!

I've seen VERY strong fighters who are EXTREMELY light on their feet. I think its more of a matter of what muscles are developed in what way. An NFL lineman will be wicked strong, but more than likely doesn't FEEL light

That being said.. I dont know I feel light when I'm underwater and in space.

I can move faster, jump higher, and explode w/ movement much more faster right now than I used to be and I am much weaker by gym standards than I used to be. I can also move TV's, large equipment and furniture much easier as well.

It all depends on how you train.

I used to deadlift 475, bench 260, overhead press 175 and front squat 315.

I haven't lifted anywhere near the numbers in the past several months and I haven't used those movements traditionally in an ever longer time.

In general being strong can help, yes, but there are many things to consider.

I'm not really that strong compared to others but before i tore some muscles in my back i was able to bench press double my weight at 115lbs, as well as squat double. and i don't know if i felt lighter but definatly more explosive in my movements.
