Working out 6 days a week

hi guys

whats the best way to spilt a routine so that i can lift weights 6 times a week? I know its beneficial resting etc but I find that I loose focus quite easily if I do not 'do something' every day? I am primarily trying to loose excess fat (id say 1/2 - 3/4 stone easily and thats just a start) while also building up some strength - I'm not interested in size or mega strenghth gains at the moment I'm just after a 'better shape' and I have the time now collage is out to do some training every day. i am going to try do some running/hiking in the mornings but i really enjoy 30mins in my shed with the weights at night and if i go every day i tend to keep it up!

Anyway I was thinking of either upper/lower every other day with a rest after 3 cycles or is it better to do 3 sessions with a more focused approach to single areas - e.g shoulders/back - chest - legs/arms?

Iv read cowpimps posts but im still a bit confused.

Thanks in advance-

P.S im back in training after about 12months off propely (bar some half arsed attempts in the gym) but i usually see gains with body shape pretty quick.

Also diet-wise im going to look at that today and post in the diet section - im just after training tips here.

thanks

If you insist on working out 6 days a week, I'd suggest a push/pull/legs split, each one done twice a week.

less is more.

don't think about what you can ADD IN. think about what you can TAKE OUT.

I would recomend doing cardio at least 2 of those days, this way your muscles can rest from the hardcoreness of weight training

Why 6 days? Unless you are using very low volume, or are a movie star with nothing else to do all day, i dont see the need for that kind of frequency.
