work on stability......breathing exercises, blood pressure cuff isometrics, planks, etc....

your chiropractor should have an understanding of your back problem and should be able to give you a rehabilitation program to get you going.

Don't think that strengthening the erectors with things like hypers and deadlifts is neccessariliy going to be the answer. Erector hyptrophy/strength does not really yield complete spine stability. In fact, depending on your problem, the repeated flexion and extension may be a horrible thing for you. Talk to your doctor.

    Just kidding!

Its hard to say after having a car accident. You dont want to mess around with the spine. Has your doctor not given you anything to do? If not tell them to refer you to a therapist and they can give you more stuff to do in line with safety for your particular damage.

Well if can put my two cents worth in.. used to get mild lower back pain reguarly.. but as i got stuck into my workout and my body got fitter the pains started to go.
But....there was one machine which seemed to make a good change to my back pain and tha was the back extension machine..
i started with light weights and over a period of time increased the weights.
i dont suffer at all from back pain now.
