Too much for 1 workout?
Here is my typical bicep training routine that lasts me about 45 minutes
Is this too much, or is it just right? (This is all done between 70-80% of my max rep) Concentration Curls-3 sets of 6 Standing Barbell Curls-3 sets of 6 Seated Dumbbell Curls-3 sets of 6 Barbell Rows-3 sets of 6 Lat Pulldown-3 sets of 6 Standing Barbell Curls-3 sets of 6 |

I think most people here would agree that that's too much. Many don't even suggest dedicated bicep work. Lots of people especially youngans can get away with it. My biceps respond better when I don't kill them. A good back workout kills my biceps enough. I will crank out some light reps with good form here and there but I don't do bicep days or workouts.

Too much curling and not enough meat and potatoes. Have you seen any growth from that? How long have you been doing that?
Start with heavy back exercicses first. Exercise 1: Lat pulldown or Chinups, or pullups, Exercise 2: T-bar row or bentover barbell row or dumbell row Exercise 3: Barbell shrugs or dumbell shrugs, or machine shrugs Exercise 4: any curling exercise will do, but only do 3 or 4 working sets That is a much simpler and much more affective template. It is basic, but to the point. Also, I use to do deadlifting on a pulling day (back and bis, but I can't deadlift anymore due disc issues. You can decide if you would want to do that. |

anyways......yes, i have seen growth in 1 month, my biceps have grown 1.5 inches in circumference and i get nice strength gains....i guess it works for some, not for others :-/ |
