    Inactivity time

Lately I have been thinking about getting operated for Pectus Carinatum which is a chest deformity. My case is rather mild in comparison to other cases but I am still very self conscious about it. Now that I have begun working out sometimes it bring me down that my right side of of my chest is more accentuated than my left because of this problem. Anyways, my question is; if in the future I do get operated most doctors recommend anywhere from 3 - 6 months of no weight lifting which in turn leads me to think....will all my work I have done weightlifting go down the drain?

    Will it?

It might appear that way and fortunatly I've had very few injuries to recoup from but I've taken up to a year off from training because I got into different projects that have taken all of my time. It didn't take me long to come back once I got back into the groove.
While you are laid up use the time to educate yourself so that when you do come back you'll be mentally ready for the next level. JMO.
