pleas lend your forearm exercises
hey recently while doing my normal dumbell wrist curls off of the end of a bench my wrists have been under enormis stres so I need to change this routine. so any sugestions. I am doing reverse barbells and they are fine. just need one for the flexor (or what ever the inside of the forearm is).

hi snipes, I usually do dumbell wrist curls and they do play havoc with the wrists... you might just try using a bar instead, that might help since both hands will be working together. I'm not sure of any other direct weightlifting exercise for forearms.

If your interested in some functional strenght that'll allow you to
take on more serious weight, I'd recommend reading everything on The Gripboard .. I like to do (reverse) wrist curls (thumbs up), using a 5' steel bar. Seated wrist curls, behind the back wrist curls. But this only on fight weeks, never incorporated in training, because they already get worked during curls and deads etc... |

Perhaps try loading a barbell with as much weight as you can suspend/lift, and hold that bar up until it feels like your arms are going to ripped out of your sockets. Hold it with a firm grip and slightly away from your body. I find this to be a sweet way to finish forearms.

I don't bother with forearm workouts, I just try to stay away from wrist straps.
They get enough work carrying 45's to the squat rack. ![]() |

I dont like dumbells myself, I use a barbell which keep the formarms from rotating. Make sure they are slow and deliberate, no freaking bouncing. No tons and tons of sets either, just a couple, and add in some farmer walks if you want to increase grip somewhat.
