After three months of cutting, its time to start bulking
So I just went on a three month cut and lost a lot of weight. I would have liked to see my abs by the end of my cut but I can't stand being so scrawny anymore. The last time I tried bulking was about 4 years ago so I don't really remember what worked well for me. On my cut I was averaging about 1700-1800 cals/day. Is it ok to increase my cals in one day or should I do it over a period of time? Also, should I change anything about my routine that I used during my cutting phase.
Here is the 4 day split that I used for most of my cut. Legs Squats 5x5 Unilateral leg press 3x8 Deadlifts 3x8 Hamstring curls 2X10 Calf Raises 3X15 Push Flat bench 3x8 Incline bench 3x8 Cable crossover 2X10 CG bench press 3x8 Weighted Dips 3x8 Shoulders/abs Shoulder press 3x8 Reverse Pec deck 2x10 Lateral Raises 2x10 Weighted Decline crunch 3x10 Planks Pull pull ups 3x as many as I can do chin-ups 3x as many as I can do hammer strength row 3x8 (one arm at a time) BB row or tbar row 3x8 hammer curls 2x10 Here are my before and after pics if anyone is interested http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com//i...758332orig.jpg http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com//i...967422orig.jpg |

Dude, are you going to compete? If yes,I have an answer for you. If no, I have an answer for you too. Everyones genes are different! You can't compare yourself to what you see in the mags, unless you were on the same ingredient as those guys. where do U stand?

haha no plans on EVER competing lol. I don't know if you saw my pics but I am a fairly small guy. I just want to be fit and stay fit while slowly packing on some muscle. I understand that everybody has different genes, I was just open for suggestions regarding my current routine and how I should increase my cals. Thanks for the input though

This is a start! your looking to just have abs? Dude, it's all about diet, No matter what anyone tells you, diet is the key factor here! You must watch your cals. If your trying to sculpt abs! I know you're trying to build mass along with abs, but that is very hard, Diet is the key! Chicken, fish, turkey even beef along with the fruits and veges, you have to be very disciplined.

I love Satriani! My influences include Clapton, Joe Walsh(first song I learned to play was Hotel California), of course Jimi, Santana, Duane Allman, SRV, Tom Morello, Robert Johnson and BB King. MOST of my fav players are blues players so you can probably tell I play blues guitar from that list. I also love John Frusciante's and John Mayers guitar playing as far as modern stuff goes. |

Dude, The great blues players are where it's at! Oh man, I can't even begin to tell you how much a$$ I have had strumming Hotel Cal. for some reason that really gets the women wet! Are you familiar with guitar Shorty? How about Taj Mahal? Satriani, imo, is the greatest guitar player of all.
Man, glad to make a friend, but music will do that! If you ever need help with anything, just let me know! ![]()
