Amazing Freestyle Wrestling Highlight

This footage is sick, these guys are pure athletes in every sense of the word. The way they commit during matches is crazy. It's amazing what these guys put into their training. Freestyle Wrestling is in the top 5 hardest sports in the world, for sure.

Cool video. People too often ignore some of the sources of MMA.

Truth.

I'd like to see some elite Olympic caliber freestyle wrestlers in MMA. I'm not talking about guys who makes the team, I mean guys who are out there contending for the medals. If they can find a way to safely apply their wrestling athleticism to MMA as well as progress in striking and submissions... man, they would be some scary fighters.

Excellent post fufu.

Being with the little guys when they show up at school as 6 and 7 year olds all fearful and intimidated, having the privilege of watching their skills and their hearts grow, and seeing them bust their asses to reach the collegiate level is one hell of an awesome ride. Go there if you can ... it's well worth the investment of your time and energy.

I've once rolled with this 9 year old kid who was a state champ in his wrestling "little league", or whatever it is. Those little guy's can really learn fast, the kid had the instincts of a guy twice his size who has trained a while, but he just didn't have the physical strength.

Some of that vid was absolutely brutal. Really exciting and impressive to watch.

The strength of those guys must be immense to fling around someone your own size and weight like they do.
