Incorrect. Soreness has nothing to do with how good or bad a workout was.

DOMS = Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.

Just happens like that sometimes. Dont worry about it.

Do you static stretch after working out?

Do you warm up with dynamic stretches before you work out?

Are you leaving enough time for recovery between workouts?

Do you go to failure often?

These are all things that can contribute to muscle soreness.

Well i never stretch after work outs, and i usually run on the treadmill for 5 mins before i start lifting weights, but as im lifting weights i stretch inbetween sets. I never really work out the same muscle unless its like 2 days after. I think i mentally fail, gotta work on my mind. As in push myself harder because i think your mind fails before your body.

Dont stretch in between movements, stretching will "relax" the muscle which is the last thing you want under a load.

I would read the stickied thread on warmups by Cowpimp, and P-Funk's one of stretching/flexability.

Warming up and warming down properly are both really important.
