What are the benefits of taking 1 week off of lifting?

Your body relaxes and recuperates itself in that time. This may seem a time that nothing is happen but in fact a lot of growing is happening!.
A few educated people told me to follow this pattern: "Work out for 3 months, then take a month off" and its true, there are a lot of benefits. Im just brain dead at the moment to remember all. Perhaps a search in the forum should come in handy. |

Your body will recover like said above. Also the following week you will get sore again atleast I do mainly with legs if I skip a week.
