problem with shoulder workout
I know that this sounds very unual for bb shoulder presses, but would it be okay to have more weight on one side of bb then the other. My right arm/shoulder is much stronger than my left so i would like to add around 55 lbs on the right side and 45 on the left. I need to make sure my right arm is getting a good workout too because recently my left arm has been appearing to look bigger than my right for some reason which is annoying me.
I know unilateral work should be good for this..but i feel my left arm had increased size beyond my right arm because i was doing great work with the barbell and my left arm being the weaker arm was getting a productive workout when my right arm was missing out because it wasnt heavy enough. |

i think i read an article about working one side of your body wont necessarily make it grow more than the other
your body will naturally compensate... ill dig either way it doesnt sound to great to me you also might throw the whole exercise off balance think of it as a giant lever and your body (grip on the bar) is the fulcrum one side weighs more than the other might cause some stability problems |

Drop and give me 100

That will likely make it worse. You have a strong arm and a stronger arm, learn to accept it

Barbell work is the real deal and it shows that my left arm is getting great, but my right is missing out which sucks. |

so theres no way to MAKE it symmetrical? my right arm and shoulder are stronger but my left arm seems to appear bigger when wearing a small tshirt. And im afraid that if I continue to work regurlary with 2 arm exercises which will give more left arm a better workout because it will have to work harder because it is weaker..it will only be getting bigger. My right arm and shoulder has more muscle when I flex but my left arm seems bigger..know what i mean..? |

Right now I am basically doing 2 arm exerices such as bb shoulder presses and bench presses regardless of the fact that my right arm is much stronger than my left. Also I am doing intense exercises once in a while to test the strength of both arms individually, such as one arm flat bench db chest press.
Should I continue this? |

Youre worrying too much about this.
Everybody is like this, you arent symmetrical. I can close a CoC gripper a few more reps with my right than my left, even though i do exactly the same amount of grip training for them. As long as they both grow - which they will if youre eating and training right - what does it matter if one is smaller/weaker than the other? Unless it negatively impacts your training it isnt a problem. |
