Question Can you improve gait?

My friend who isnt into fitness mentioned about running more to improve gait.

Got me thinking...

Is that it? Or is there more?

Basically what I am asking, are there ANY taks one can do to change their gate, no matter what specific symptoms they have?

What tasks would those be?

I dont remember much about "improving" gait, just assessing it.

yes. you can change gait.

running is not going to change your gait if your gait is crap. it is only going to make it worse!

assess where the limitations are (you really need to know what you are looking at/for). then fix those limitations. it can be a long process sometimes (depending on the person and what you are trying to fix) but you can do it.

I was thinking this for myself, people in discussion, and also playing roles.

It's the biomechanical pattern that you make when you move, how all your limbs apply themselves, etc. There is a gait for walking, running, side stepping, etc.

There is a lot you can take from examining someone's gait if you know what to look for. Things like muscular tightness or weakness, for example.
