Hey I'm 15 years old and just started workingout about 4.5 months ago. I've seen some improvement, but I have no good workout routine, I just go to the gym and do most of what my personal trainer said in the first day I got a membership. I want to gain some mass because in the last 4.5 months I've only gained about 4 pounds which sucks bad. I'm 5'11 and weigh 158 pounds.
My questions are:
Can anyone give me a good training routine for my upper body?
A good healthy diet that can help me gain some mass?
Also I play a lot of basketball and if anyone knew some workouts for the legs or arm that can help me out would be great.
If you need anymore info about what I do specifically or what I eat please ask because I'm in need of help desperately. Thanks!
Eat eat eat...you're young so eat ALOT(protein, carbs and fats). Read the stickies in the training section and diet section, but to gain mass you need to eat and as far as lifting goes, stick to the basic compounds. These would be bench press, squats, deadlifts, pullups, chinups, power cleans, stuff like that. Don't worry about curls, flyes, and a bunch of machine work. This is a general answer, but if you read the stickies, you will get the finer details and see what I am referring to. Good luck...
