    speed as in running speed?

if you are trying to get faster, why train like a bodybuilder? there are much more important things to work on than lateral raises and biceps curls if your goal is to get fast.

you don't have to train like a bodybuilder to get bigger. you just have to train and eat. but, if you train properly, not only will you increase your size, you can also increase your speed and ability to move better on the soccer field.

Build a solid strength foundation, especially in your lower body. Strength is way more important than size. Make sure your body is balanced.

Be sure to do a lot of unilateral exercises. You have to be able to exert force on one leg.

    Look into plyometrics.

Look into 'functional training for sports'.

Next step is applying your strength in your actual sport. This is done on the field, not in the gym. Work on running technique and run, run, run.

Note that your position in the field dictates how much endurance training you should do.

I do not personally know what would be the best training for soccer but if I were you I would take a look at this:

    Soccer Training & Conditioning

It is a website designed to help people with sports specific training. That link takes you directly to the soccer section
