Is doing close grip bench better for football than regular bench? Im really trying to increase strength in my upperbody quickly. Any advice?
close grip is just an alternative to shift more of the load to the triceps. I don't like it myself. due to the stress it can put on the wrists and elbows.
In any event, you get stronger by lifting heavy and eating. Switch it up and do some benching with dumbells. I know youre not tracking your intake, so remember if youre not eating at a surplus over your maintenance youre basically wasting time.
