    Unhappy pinched nerve!?!!!

i have been working out now for about 3 months now ( coming back after not training for 9 months) anyways my right side of my back under the shoulder blade i get this numbness feeling sometimes, especialy when im sitting for a long period of time in one posture, but if. have my back against the seat the numbness goes away. its weird, it doesnt hurt but is annoying- read about it lots of people are saying its just a pinchd nerve?! sounds serious. just asking you guys if you have an idea or any experience with this problem.

I had a similar situation. Went to the doctor who set me up with xrays and an MRI. They have no definitive answer of what the problem was but I did find out what it wasn't.

May not have been the right thing to do but I kept training. Just didn't do anything that would aggravate it.

I don't know what to tell you. Patrick or one of the other Mods might have some good advise.
I lost about 30% strength. Pain is gone now but still weak. I'm getting soft tissue work done once a week and it seams to be helping as well as RC work with very light weight.

There is another resent thread regard this subject and check out Patricks Blog for tips.

I still say get it checked out instead of trying self diagnos. You don't even know if it is really a pinched nerve or a compressed nerve. And if it even is that, you want to know what is compressing it so that you can correct the problem. When it comes to the spine, don't guess.
