We have a Jammer station in our gym and it looks like it would fun to use. However, other than on a Push day, what is the main source of force? Shoulders or legs?

I kind of figured, but what drew the question was the extension of the hip vs. the shoulder. In the starting position, the elbows and shoulders are more flexed than the hips and knees. However, I can see enough force coming from such positions.
I am going to give them a shot today or tomorrow. My push presses are going to have to stop eventually cuz of fear of my shoulder. Though it hast been a problem thus far, I would like to seek alternatives.
