I just recently got into being serious about working out and building up my muscle. However, throughout high school I was a sprinter and hockey player so I'm pretty happy with my lower body strength and I'm looking to just maintain and tone my lower body, which has been fine so far.

What I'm looking to do is work my upper body, biceps and pecs in particular (like almost everybody). Since I live in the cold frozen north of Canada () I don't really make it out to the gym very much right now, but I do have dumbbells and a bar bell with some plates that I've been using.

I've been going through exercises as I feel like it... bicep curls, bench press, shoulder press (more or less), pushups, various abdominal workouts, as well as some isometrics - I'm not working with ideal gym equipment... Anyway, I've only been on the "regiment" for about a week and already there is noticeable gains.

Problems I'm having are that for some reason my left bicep is smaller than my right, but I seem to have an easier time with the curls? I'm curling 30lbs of plates plus the bar which I think weighs between 2.5 and 5lbs.

I don't really have any specific problems i'm facing other than that, just looking for general advice to maximize my gain to basically, to put it candidly, really get my chest and biceps ripped, lol.
