    3 weeks off

was just wondering how you come back after 3 weeks off. been training hard and seen some good gains in the last 6 months or so , so i thought it would be a good time to take a break and change my routine a little with it being christmas and all that. trained yesterday and was quite shocked about how much strength id lost. my muscles also fatigued quickly meaning i couldnt keep my reps up.

    what are other peoples experiences?

im sort of hoping a couple weeks and things will be back to normal as i havent lost any weight or size in that time

3 weeks isn't really that much time... it's enough time to temporarily lose some strength and endurance and you'll probably be sore as hell for a week or so but you'll get back to where you were in no time... i say 2-3 weeks tops...

just start your exercises with a lighter weight and start to work your way back up... don't try to jump back to where you were at... also stretching a lot always helps to relieve some tightness and soreness for me...

I'd do lighter work for a week. I wouldnt jump back in immediately full bore. But yea I agree 3 weeks isnt too long. Don't expect to do the same you did before you left though.
