    Inventive or stupid?

    What's up everyone?

    Any how I'll get to the point. There is this guy at the gym that gets on the hi/low cables, puts each side to the top, uses the single handle (the one we would use for cable flys) and maxes out the weight. Now he gets a swiss ball and balances on is and used the handles to balance himself and swings around from horizontal on his back, to horizontal face down and side to side. Sometimes he does flips. such as an olypian on the rings.


    To top it off he punches the back support for the triceps push downs as if it were a punching bag. Then goes to the standing preacher, grabs each side then knees it as if he was in a karate class.

    At first it was pretty funny to watch, but now is just annoying.

    the guy is over 50 and is in really good shape. thats the kicker.

    i've complained to the management but they said they're not going to do anything because they already told him not to do it, therefor they won't be responsible if he gets hurt.

    Not so bad that it could be dangerous to himself but to others in the gym around him could get hurt.

    I had an extra-long workout today because I added an extra fat burning session due to an ihop breakfast. I was at the gym for 90 minutes and i swear there was a guy there that was just walking around the ENTIRE time. He was pretty big too (muscular not fat). I was going to ask him what he was walking around for but decided not to be that guy that starts an argument/fight at the gym

    I just dont like calling it cardio. I would much rather call it fat burning mainly because i try to keep my heart rate right at 140. Which i really dont consider to be cardiovascular workout.
    I wish i new exactly how much i burned but it was an oldschool exercise bike that i was on...
    I much prefer the treadmill but I had to workout later than usual which means a packed gym and limited available equipment.

    Ive just got back from the gym, and feel I need to share a little story.

    There are these two guys, ones about 30 and the other around 60(they may be father and son, but they dont really look alike). They both wear exactly the same gym clothes every single time they train, the young guy wears an armour fit top and the old guy a blue tank. Now even though this guy is about 60, he is fucking orange. Now I dont even mean really tanned, I mean properly fucking orange, like after 40 years of sunbed abuse. Anyway my workout times vary, so thankfully I only have to see them about once a week.

    Now this old guy struts around the gym like he is the overlord(he is in shit shape btw) trying to give everyone advice on what the're doing. Sometimes he even has a group of guys gathered around him, while he gives them all advice!?

    Anyway, back to the story. Today was an off day for me, but I was in the gym spotting for my buddy, and it was obiviously their arm day,(though it seems like everyday is an arm day as I have never seen them squat or dead) As I had a bit of time on my hands and no workout to concentrate on, I decided to watch what they were doing. First they started with some lying upright rows on the seated row machine, then some bcep curls using a low cable pully, then conc. curls, then ez curls, then preacher curls, then tricep dips, then pressdown, then overhead pulldowns, the kickbacks and finished off with some high cable bicp curls, and the entire time the old guy grunts with every rep as if he just lost his anal virginity. <<That sounds very strange but I have honestly never heard a sound like this before. They were doing at least 3 sets per exercise, with some having more. And it got to the stage were one would spot the other, and it took both of them to lift the weight they were using for that set(normally the full stack) and afterwards they would slam the weight back down and strut about as if they had just accomplished something.

    After their workout, they both head into the changing rooms, and stand and flex in front of the mirror for around 15mins giving each other compliments. Then off they go(probably for another sunbed). Just thought I'd share some of the shit that goes on in England.

    Thats the worst bit. The gym isnt huge, so everybody is training in a pretty small area. The old guy will make one of his noises, then my training partner will look at me, and ill start to smile, then hell start to laugh and its all downhill from there.
