Stamina & Endurance
I know these forums are generally about bodybuilding but i have been using them for that purpose before.. and the dietry tips etc but id love it if some people could pop down suggestions for building stamina and endurance.
I ask as I am currently contemplating joining the British Army Infantry or Royal Artillery regiments and I am worried about my current level of fitness in forms of determination and stamina. Ive been reading up about the science behind various endurance exercises and i think im wanting to improve: Aerobic Endurance Anaerobic Endurance I havent competed in any track and field events since school and i believe my level of fitness in these areas needs to be improved before I decide to enrole in the forces. Also, if anyone has expierence of the armed forces... if you could give a few words of advice from expierence on what sort of fitness level is required from the start that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance But fair enough if this sort of request isnt applicble for these forums as it doesnt concern body building. |

There was a fellow in the gym a couple years ago that was on a farm team in the NHL, he mostly trained for strength and stamina.
He did alot of supper sets and kept his reps around 10-15. He took very little time between sets, the guy was something to watch. |

The only bad thing about running along a beach I have heard of, is some people tend to have loose footing (if your running IN the sand not on pavement), and can end up twisting thier ankle that way.
