    frankmoo7,
Yes I have used it and I weighed about 5 more ponds and benched about the same,5 to 10 more lbs on my bench. Unless you are competing though I don't think the expense is worth it. I don't even recall the brand.

I use Weider, get it cheap at Wal-Mart. Plus, Weider's passed the consumer testing for purity.

Unlike protein where you can get different grades of it (whey, egg, soy, etc..), Creatine Monohydrate will only come in one form. So it really doesn't matter what brand you buy unless you are really buying no-name brand stuff. Creatine brands usually get the actual creatine manufactured by German or Asian manufacturers. If you want to put your mind on ease and are really worried if you're getting "good" stuff, buy the expensive ones like EAS Phosphagen, Pro-Lab, Cell-Tech, Twinlab. I personally think that GNC's own brand is good because they always have some kind of deal on it which is what I use by the way. The big thing about Creatine today isn't the product itself... everyone's already figured that out. What separates EAS or Muscletech from the rest is the fact that they've created a product that claims to have the best transport system.. research on that. But as always, all the creatine in the world will not help you make gains if your diet, sleep and training isn't in tack..and no, creatine is not just for people who are competing..that is ridiculous.

    Thumbs down

    cutemonkey,
I never said creatine was just for people competing, I said ( I ) didn't believe it was worth it unless you were competing.
I am not willing to shell out money to simply be just a little bit stronger and a little bit heavier which is weight gained from retaining more water.
Since I stopped taking this I still am making good gains and saving about 30 bucks a month not to be benching 280 instead of the 275 I benched yesterday.
If I were competing I would definitely use creatine to get what ever edge I could.

Creatine is something your body already produces, taking creatine just adds more of what your body already has, it will also add to a faster recovery time as well as what the others have mentioned.

    I think its worth taking.

Yes, I have also read that about creatine that it is naturally produced in your body. I don't know about the recovery time though. I really can't say I could tell the difference. The biggest thing I noticed was the immediate lose of 5 pounds when I stopped taking it which I would say was water weight.

Even though our body creates creatine, the amount is miniscule and at an amount that does not take into account the wear and tear we put in our body through training.

And thats why I think taking Creatine can only help, we're just adding to what our body already produces.

Ok first,if you use it properly you can gain more weight and lift/recover better. Now you don't get water retention from it because it is a cell volumizer,it draws water in to the muscle cell, does not cause bloating or retention.
I have personally added at least 15 lbs within a 2 month period, and my strength has increased remarkably, and if you buy 1000 grms,at 10 grms a day it will last....you do the math. I get creapure(as pure as you can get) for $30-$40,cheaper online.
and the more you weigh and stronger you are the more mass you gain.....that is the whole idea.

also great to add Glutamine, works wonders on strength, weight gain, and recovery.

    my .02 cents

If you really want to get some good size going, I would recommend Creatine. It has helped me out quite a bit, I use Cell-Tech. Also, the weight you gain initially will be from water retention, but once you get stronger from using this supp, your muscles will ultimately grow from the higher weight you will be lifting and will result in weight gain. I agree with massiveape.
    Just Shut Up and LIFT.
