I would prefer getting to a point where its not needed. Most people really flex the neck tight in an attempt to do this and its just asking for trouble. If youre not squeezing extra tight I wouldnt worry about it much.
Could looking up while doing front squats lead to injury? It help me keep my back straight and I don't feel any disconform. Just wondering if it's safe.

Keep the head straight, eyes on the horizon. looking up too much is not recomended
Just a regular guy.
Same thing for back squats?
I used to have great leg strength and could do some impressive reps at high wieght. When I did them used to look-up to help "drive" myself where I wanted to go.
(although as I think about it my head may have been forward, with just eyes up...)
