Dips -- Done Correctly For Chest

I've read that to have your chest benefit from dips, you need to dip in an "arc."

    True?

I'm wondering if somebody could explain the proper form?

    Don't quite get it.

    Thanks.

There are several ways to perform this great exercise and in addition, there are Hammer machines that serve the same purpose. So I`m not so sure there is one proper way to do them.
Dips really hit me in the Pecs, Anterior Delts, and big time in the Triceps.
I`m not so sure you need to " ARC" to get the benefit.
