    Maybe Military style

I think I have decided to go with a military style workout to start. I have about 60lbs to lose and think the extra cardio will help more right now.
Mainly lots of cardio, Pushups for 3 minutes as many as possible, crunches both upper and reverse for lower and then back again 3 minutes as much as possible. Squats as much as possible in 3 minutes. Watch the diet etc....
I was in the marine corp for 4 years from 18 to 23 and I remember most of basic training. More concered about a combo of strength and endurance. All I know is I felt invincible doing that everday as opposed to now like a fat slob, out of shape and out of breath doing nothing. What is your thoughts? I am not trying to build major muscle just get back in shape and look and feel better..... Thanks you guys are awesome.
I forgot to mention laying off the diet soda's that going to be hard.LOL usually go thru about 3 2liters a day. Only Water and some diet green tea.
    Feedback please. MIKE

my advise is to cut most of the cardio out for now, you are going to be cutting for a decent length of time and all that cardio will cause you to breakdown muscle as well as fat making your cut period longer

i think it would be better if you ate 500 calories below your daily maintenance and lifted heavy compound movements in the gym

squats, bench, deadlift, military press, dips, pull ups

this will help you maintain the muscle you have , you will build a very little since you have been out of training for an extended period of time but nothing serious

your body will only keep what it needs

so if you tell it to keep the muscle by lifting heavy weights then it will

but if you do cardio it does not need all that wait so it will cut fat and muscle together

Doing a bunch of cardio is a good way to chew through muscle. Do it if youre wanting to lose weight in general without regard to muscle definition. Everyone feels invincible when they are 18 to 23. How old are you now? And 3 two liters a day? Youre lucky your kidneys haven't shut down or you have a tumor by now. I don't see how this is possible. Stop that shit immediately.
