    straight leg deadlift's?

    Anybody have an opinion? Good bad or other? Just a little curious since I have a hell of a time with them...I love the strict glute and ham aspect, but there's always the slight fear of slipping and trashing my back.. So, what do you all say??

    seems to me like you are less likely to tweak anything doing these over regular DLs... just stay in control of the weight and dont try to explode when lifting.

    I like to do them with a narrow stance as well... I really feel in in my hams... also i like to be elevated so I can go down further.

    i love them , amazing feeling in the hams and glutes , like sendit said just watch the weight , heavy iron is not needed strict form and controlled reps is

    Mix both in. Either way, you will be getting a good workout.

    One day do RDL's, the back day or whatever, just DL.

    I prefer them as RDLs. Vastly superior form of the movement IMO, and my personal favourite lift.

    Thanks all, I think part of the problem is that I only have access to a universal bench machine type thing, so I feel like it restricts my movements a lot.. I think I'll drop a little weight till I get my confidence up, since right now I'm keeping my sldl weight the same as my regular dl weight

    Straight legs are far more difficult to keep good form on, just because with your legs straight, most people dont have the flexibility or control to stop their lower back from rounding.

    Putting a slight bend in the knee and turning them into RDLs makes them a hell of a lot safer, and barely changes the movement at all.
