They're meant to hit the arms. The immense weight must just be greater for biceps than the back
Whenever i do rows with either a cables, machine, or dbs i always feel it in my arms instead of my back.
ive checked the technique online and i dont know what it is? am i doing too much weight or what?

there's your problem... use a barbell man.
DEADLIFTS!!!
If you insist on rowing, which imo pale in comparison to deads, then make sure that you hold and squeeze for about half a second and control the weight on the way down, dont let the machine/gravity do any of the work, at all.
This wont necessarily hit your arms less but it will for sure hit your back harder, which is what you are looking for right?
You are just making the weaker link in the chain catch up. Keep up the good work and things will even out.
whats your diet look like?
Stop doing direct arm work for a while if you currently are. And youre a guy, so you are. Tell me I'm wrong.....

I dont know for sure what you are trying to accomplish by quoting this part of my post.
If you are analyzing my grammar then you should know that although english is the language I speak at home I went from first to eighth grade speaking only french in school so my grammar is sometimes off.
If you see that as bad advice then go fuck yourself because I am always seeing people in the gym that think they can lift a certain amount of weight but cant maintain control during the lift which will lead not only to a slower increase in size and strength but a higher likelyhood of injury.
Sendit I just re-read your post and I didn't see anything about half a second >.<
And there's nothing grammatically incorrect with "half a second" so I don't see what Chobby is laughing at. Probably post-workout dizyness

Woah. No protein for breakfast??? baaadddd especially on a cut.
Also you might wanna have some cottage cheese before bed with a boiled egg or two to bump up that low figure for protein, especially on a cut you need to provide your body with enough protein to "keep" the muscle while burning fat.
And a tip; back exercises used to really work my biceps but then my technique was wrong. Rather than focusing on bringing the weight up; focus on making your elbows come up rather than your wrists. If your wrists are doing alot of work then your biceps will be being used as much as the back. This is why you should use a barbell so you tend to move your elbows as opposed to wrists like you might do using dumbells
i thought the rule was 1gram per lb of lbm? i know what your saying tho. for breakfast tho i cant really find anything around here thats good for breakfast that has protein

it's actually 1.2-1.8 i think. Rather be on the safer side though
You can't find eggs? I've been all over the world and there's eggs everywhere. I'm cutting also and alternate breakfast between a big bowl of old fashioned oatmeal/scoop of natty peanut butter/scoop of whey one morning and the next, 4 scrambled eggs/can of tuna. The eggs are easy to make, I just throw them in a bowl add the tuna, stir and nuke for a few minutes. Sometimes I even add a few scoops of cottage cheese to this mix. It may sound gross, but I can eat almost anything.
In addition, since you are cutting and trying to maintain lean muscle mass you should probably be consuming 1.5 to 2 grams per lb of body weight. I have a difficult time doing this so I'm not preaching from the soap box. I barely maintain 1 gram/lb BW. I know I'm bad, but right now things seem to be working for me. Check with Built, she's the best when it comes to this.
Good luck!

back is the hardest body part for most to work, partly because you cannot see it. due to back problems my primary back work is now Hammer Strength machines that are chest supported, I have probably made more progress on my back in the past 6 months than I did the past 6 years!
Most people focus on getting the bar to their chest, but they fail to work their back, or at least not to the fullest extent.
my advice is basically what Dorian said, drop your weights (by at least a third) and focus on pulling with your back, not your biceps, get the bar to touch your chest and pull it in that extra inch or two and squeeze, you will notice a big difference.

Don't be lame.
Boil 4-5 eggs the night before.
It's not hard. Don't make idiotic excuses.
You think you are more busy than anyone else?
Doubt it.

Knock back a protein shake and a handful of nuts for breakfast then. You need protein in the AM, and your fats are too low.
Read the link in my sig about "getting started", k? It's all in there for you.
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.
Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

Buy egg whites cook em up in a large quantity for three or four days and microwave them in the morning. Tastes better than boiled and don't tell me you don't have a minute to reheat them.
bodom I am sorry that I am continuing this pointless exchange on your thread.
chobby... I dont think you really know how long half of a second is.
by the way if you dont agree with what I said than whatch that vid that prince posted because dorian says the exact same thing many times over in that video.
wow bodom wats your problem people are trying to help you by giving you suggestions yet you're throwing it back in painandgain's face. He does have a good point about making eggs the day before.
If you're really serious about this, to the extent you should be posting, then you should really be willing to eat anything that won't harm your health to achieve your goals.
Just have some eggs, cheap, stay a while when cooked, and you can just microwave them in the morning before you head to the bus or school and add them to your current food or eat them on the way there. Excellent source of protein and nutrients.
